Workshop Description

Summer Camp Week 3 - Design & Build House Camp. Kid's should be at least 9 years of age to be able to use some of the tools. Designing your own playhouse from the ground up - from style & construction to furniture & accessories. Any creative kid with a love of detail & miniature things will love this camp. Who isn’t fascinated by the imaginary world inhabiting an intricate dollhouse? This week is designed for budding architects, builders, furniture makers and interior designers. Starting out by putting our ideas to graph paper for the general look/shape of the house. Figuring sizes for construction. Cutting out & assembling wall, floors, roofs etc. Starting with a base structure using cardboard we will creatively combine art materials and recycled objects such as paper rolls, wrapping paper, bottle caps, wooden blocks, and fabric scraps to create a miniature dwelling and its furniture and decor. Using 3D construction, creating texture and patterns, as well as exercise their imaginations! At the end of the week, kids will have an amazing play home to play with or continue to expand on it. *Art campers should bring Water. Snacks will be provided. 10% discount when registering a sibling. Discount applied to 2nd child. You will need to call in to studio to apply toward balance. *After you are registered online or via phone you will be provided with a registration and waiver form and full camp details. Camps run 9am-12pm Monday-Friday
